Solomon⁶ Whitney (Solomon⁵, Nathaniel⁴, Nathaniel³, John², John¹), son of Solomon⁵ and Martha (Fletcher) Whitney, was born 5 Dec 1735, Concord, MA, and baptized 14 Dec 1735, Weston, MA.

He married 14 Jan 1762, Lincoln, MA, Mary Fay, daughter of Silas and Hannah (Billing) Fay. She was born 14 Feb 1740/1, Lincoln and/or Weston, MA, and died unknown.

Children of Solomon⁶ and Mary (Fay) Whitney:

i.	Leonard7 Whitney, b. 7 Aug 1763, Lincoln, MA; m. Cate Wheeler.
ii.	Silas Whitney, b. 13 Jul 1766, Lincoln, MA; m.(1) Hopestill Sargent; m.(2) Sally Lovejoy.
iii.	Otis Whitney, b. about 1768, calculated from age at death; d. Jul 1853, Campton, NH, aged 85 years.
iv.	(poss.) Levi Whitney, b. about 1776; m. about 1801, Susanna Sargent; res. Rumney, NH. He was perhaps the father of the Jacob Sargent Whitney, b. 23 Oct 1808, Rumney TWP, Grafton Co., NH, son of Levi and Susannah Whitney, and who was enumerated near Silas Whitney in Thornton for many years.
