- He married at Needham, 1 May 1788 (VR, 75, gives her as Susannah "Whiting of East Sudbury"), SUSANNA WHITNEY. The estate of Joseph Beals, late of East Sudbury, Mass., included the following heirs: William Dunton and wife Abigail; Isaac Whitney, Ontario County, New York, yeoman; William Alden and his wife Susannah; Mary Whitney, singlewoman, of Suffolk County; Elizabeth Whitney of East Sudbury (Middlesex Co. LR, 118:278--25 August 1795). Another deed, dated or recorded 24 May 1798, is at 128:536.
