Milton8 Whitney (Silas7, Silas6, Samuel5, William4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of Silas7 and Hannah (Cushing) Whitney, was born 9 Oct 1823, Ashburnham, MA, and died 3 Sep 1875, Baltimore, MD.
He married, 24 Nov 1842, Ann Maria Weston.
Milton Whitney was born in Ashburnham, and was a self-educated man. At an early age he entered a law office in Fitchburg, MA, and was admitted to the bar in 1845. After a brief practice in Fitchburg, MA, he moved to Baltimore, where he was eminently successful as an able lawyer. In 1854 he was chosen county attorney and re-elected in 1858. In 1860 he resigned, and later conducted many trials that are historic in that state. As a criminal lawyer he was not excelled. Modest and unassuming, he seldom referred to his achievements, or appeared conscious of the magnitude of his labor. He resided Baltimore, MD.
Children of Milton8 and Ann Maria (Weston) Whitney:
i. Anne Weston9 Whitney, b. 4 Oct 1848, Fitchburg, MA.[1]
