He married, 8 Jan 1861, Cottage Grove, OR, Mary Ann White. She was born Oct 1839.
He is a farmer and stockraiser; resided Lane (probably Lane County) and Gale (location unidentified), OR.

i. Albert Vine9 Whitney, b. 7 Oct 1861. He is engaged in stockraising, is unmarried; resided Cottage Grove, OR. ii. Phebe Jane Whitney, b. 20 Jun 1863; d. 20 Sep 1867. iii.
