Engaged in the manufacture of bent carriage wood work at Berea and LaGrange, Ohio, for fifteen years. Moved to Anderson, Indiana, in 1881; engaged in the hardwood lumber business for four years. Moved to Denver, Colorado, in April, 1886, and is engaged in the real estate business, resided Denver, Colorado, 1725 Arapahoe St.

James Watrous8 Whitney (George Ransom7, Appleton Downer6, Asa5, Joshua4, William3, Joshua2, John1), son of George Ransom7 and Harriett Maria (Bronson) Whitney, was born 2 Sep 1843, Parma, OH.

He married, 13 May 1869, Ripley, OH, Lizzie Torbet. She was born 10 Jan 1846.
