Benjamin7 Whitney (Lemuel6, Joshua5, Nathaniel4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of Lemuel6 and Thankful (Griffeth) Whitney, was born 20 Jul 1772, Spencer, MA,[1] and died 20 Mar 1827, Wadhams Mills, NY.

He married, Essex, NY, Betsey Bragg. She was born 1772, and died 22 May 1857.

Benjamin Whitney moved from Springfield to the town of Essex, NY, about 1810 and engaged in farming. He resided Springfield, VT, and Wadhams Mills, New York.

Children of Benjamin7 and Betsey (Bragg) Whitney:

i. Alexander8 Whitney, b. 21 Jun 1798; m. Sophronia Streeter.
ii. Phinehas Whitney, b. 25 Dec 1800; d. 28 Nov 1866.
iii. Lucius Whitney, b. 29 Feb 1804; m.(1) Thankful French; m.(2) Minerva Smith.
iv. Philena Whitney, b. -----; d. 12 Apr 1870; unmarried.
