Levi6 Whitney (Benjamin5, John4, Henry3, John2, Henry1), son of Benjamin5 and Ann Mercy (Harris) Whitney, was born say 1791, Otsego, NY, and died in Grass Lake, IL.
He married Amelia Chase.
Phoenix says the following:
- Levi Whitney, b. about 1795 to 1800, in Otsego, N.Y.; lived, at one time, in Parish, N.Y., and went west; is reported to have died at "Grass Lake, Ill." (? Mich.); married Amelia Chase, and had several children, who lived, it was said, in Canada and Wisconsin, in Ap. 1875. He was a soldier in the war of 1812.
