Benjamin Dexter7 Whitney (Benjamin6, Micha5, Abel4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Benjamin6 and Susan (Wells) Whitney, was born 25 Dec 1841, Madrid, ME. (Note: his birth is recorded in the Phillips, ME Vital records)

He married, 6 Aug 1865, Phillips, ME, Annis B. Ross. She was born 17 Apr 1847.

He is a millwright and mechanical engineer; resided Gardiner, ME.

Benjamin died in 1917, and Annis in 1926. They are buried in the Evergreen Cemetery in Phillips, ME.

Children of Benjamin Dexter7 and Annis B. (Ross) Whitney:

i. William Dexter8 Whitney, b. 11 Jul 1871; is an attorney, of the firm of Spear, Andrews & Whitney; resided Gardiner, ME.
ii. Benjamin Fred Whitney, b. 6 Jul 1887; resided Gardiner, ME. He married Ida M. Paige. He died in 1922, and they are both buried in the Evergreen Cemetery in Phillips, ME.
