My ancestry traces back through Massachusetts and Connecticut to Wales and then Normandy like most here. My first Whitney ancestor in America was named John and came across in 1635 on a ship called The Elizabeth and Ann. In the late 1800s my grandfather and his brother hopped a freight train and ended up in southern Idaho. After high school my mother, who was from Panguitch Utah,took a winter job in Sun Valley Idaho and met my dad.
