John Franklin Whitney (George Washington, John Smith, Thomas, Thomas, Eleazer, Thomas, John), was born 29 Oct 1847, Dana MA, and died 1934.
He married 9 Jun 1875, Dana MA, Abba Thompson. She was born Nov 1857, and died 1953.
John Franklin was always called Frank. He remained on the family land in Dana until the Quabbins Reservoir was created. A large Stone Family Reunion was held there annually. Some of Dana is in fact still above water and the Whitney farm can be visited.
