Marriage intentions were published 14 Oct 1843, Medway, MA, for him and Rosette H. Springer.^[3]. He married firstly, 1 Nov 1843, Medway, MA, Rosette H. Springer,^[4] daughter of Tillinghast and Elona (Hickley) Springer. She was born about 11 Jan 1823, Augusta, ME, and died 3 Feb 1864, Medway, MA, aged 41 years 22 days, of fever.^[5]

He married secondly, 14 Dec 1864, Medway, MA, Julia N. Babcock, dau. of Amos R. and Rosanna (-----) Babcock.^[6]
