Pierpont Whitney, parentage unknown but perhaps the son of Thomas and ----- (-----) Whitney, was born 1808, CT,[1] and died after 1880.
He married, 5 Dec 1832, Cuyahoga Co. or Trumbull Co., OH, Calfronia Burdick.[2] She was born 17 Apr 1810, NY, and died 9 Jun 1883, Bridgewater, OH.
Children of Pierpont and Calfronia (Burdick) Whitney:
i. Asahel W. Whitney, b. ca. 1836, OH; d. after 1880; m. before 1862, Ellen Lovina Robbins, b. ca. 1837, ME, d. after 1880. Children: a. Olive Whitney, b. ca. 1862, OH. b. Lila Whitney, b. ca. 1865, OH. c. Hattie Whitney, b. ca. 1872, OH. d. Phebe Whitney, b. ca. 1874, OH. e. Nellie Whitney, b. ca. 1876, OH. f. Pierpont Justis Whitney, b. 4 Jan 1879, Bridgewater, OH. - 1879 Jan. 4 - Williams Co., Bridgewater Twp. A son named Pierpont Justis Whitney was born to Asahel W. Whitney, son of Pierpont, on this date. Mother was Ellen Lovina Robbins.[3]
