Family:Whitney, John Dudley (1804-1874)

John Dudley⁸ Whitney (Jonathan⁷, Jonathan⁶, Joseph⁵, Benjamin⁴, Joseph³, John², John¹), son of Jonathan⁷ Whitney and Lucy (Parks) Whitney, was born about 5 Feb 1804, Watertown, MA, and died 10 Sep 1874, Acton, MA, aged 70 years 7 months 5 days, of dropsy, shoemaker.^[1]

He married, 9 Mar 1826, Cambridge, MA, Elizabeth Doughty.^[2] She was born in Portland, ME.

William Francis Brown Whitney, b. ca. 12 Feb 1841, Acton, MA; d. 6 Nov 1904, Acton, MA, aged 62 years 8 months 24 days, of senile dementia due to degenerative changes in blood vessels of brain;[8]; m. 20 Apr 1864, Acton, MA, Annie McNerney, b. ca. 1846, Portland, ME, res. Boston.[9] He enlisted 2 Sep 1861, aged 19 years, in the Union Army.
