He married firstly, 17 Sep 1838, Mary E. Hutchins. She was born 22 Jul 1822, and died 12 May 1858, Little Falls, MN.

He married secondly, 22 May 1860, Galena, IL, Dorothea F. (Sherrill)(Scott) Thompson. She was born 13 May 1825. She had married firstly, 4 Jul 1841, Sangamon Co., IL, George Scott. She had married secondly, 26 Sep 1853, JoDaviess Co., IL, Charles S. Thompson.

He resided Amboy, NY, Minneapolis and Little Falls, MN, Galena, IL, and Lansing, IA.
