Jeremiah C. Whitney (Phinehas, (poss.) John5, (poss.) Samuel4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Phinehas and Mary (Crommitt) Whitney, was born 28 Feb 1804, Phillips (or Waterville), ME,[1].

He married firstly, before 1834, Lydia -----. She was born in NB on 19 August 1814, and died 27 September 1856, probably in Presque Isle, ME.

He married secondly, 26 Mar 1857, Houlton, ME, Susan Butler ("Butter" in marriage record). She was born about 1822, Ireland, and died after 1870.

Both Jeremiah and his first wife, Lydia, are buried in the Fairmount Cemetery in Presque Isle, ME.
