Was he the Leonard Whitney, son of Lemuel and Mary (-----) Whitney, b. 12 Mar 1794, Orange, MA? That Leonard's brother Levi named a son Erastus, as did this Leonard's son Adrial. The death record of Adrial L. Whitney from Union, Maine says that his father's name was Leonard Whitney, born Orange, MA, and his mother was Achsah Cole, born Medfield, MA.
