Thomas O.8 Whitney (Edward8, Eleazer7, Ebenezer6, Samuel5, Samuel4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Edward8 and Annie Holdsworth (Knox) Whitney, was born 30 May 1838, Palmyra, ME, and died 25 Feb 1900, Hartland, ME.[1]

He married firstly, 11 Jan 1862, St. Albans, ME, Nancy Melissa Hilton, daughter of Page and Mary (Keaton) Hilton. She was born 9 Nov 1842, Hallowell, ME, and died before 1867.

He married secondly, 21 May 1867, St. Albans, ME, Clara Rosette Elder, daughter of Eben W. and Ruby Ann (Wing) Elder. She was born 7 Dec 1845, Dover-Foxcroft, ME, and died 1925.[2]
