Washburn Whiting Whitney (Lemuel) son of Lemuel and Anna (Woods) Whitney, was born 11 Nov 1820, Athol, MA,^[1] and died 12 Jan 1892, Barre or Gardner, MA, aged 71 years 2 months 1 day, of influenza and pneumonia.^[2]

Marriage intentions were published 8 Apr 1843, Warwick, MA^[3] for him "of Orange" and Emily H. Johnson "of Warwick". He "of Orange" married, 25 Apr 1843, Warwick, MA, Emily H. Johnson "of Warwick",^[4] daughter of D[aniel] and Bethiah (-----) Johnson. She was born about 1823, Warwick, MA, and died 6 Aug 1868, Athol, MA, aged 46 years.^[5]
