He married firstly, 14 Apr 1844, Durham, ME, Cynthia Rideout Blethen,[2] both of Durham, daughter of Jonathan and Mary (Rideout) Blethen. She was born 26 Feb 1823, Dover-Foxcroft, ME.
He married secondly, 18 Dec 1852, Lewiston, ME, Mary Ellen (Strout) Corbett "both of Durham",[3] daughter of Jonathan and Sarah (Vining) Strout. She was born 26 Aug 1825, Durham, ME, and died 23 Oct 1902, Cambridge, MA, aged 77 years 1 month 27 days, of pneumonia.[4] She had married firstly, 31 May 1846, Horace L.
