Josiah F.8 Whitney (Josiah Francis7, Silas6, Josiah5, Nathaniel4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Josiah Francis7 and Mary (Moore) Whitney, was born 25 Dec 1860, Solon, ME,[1] died about 1922 or 1923, Roslindale, MA, and was buried in Lowell, MA.
He married firstly, 1 Jun 1885, Bingham, ME, Susie E. Bray. She was born 1 May 1868, and died 11 Apr 1889.
He married secondly, 26 May 1891, Boston, MA, Florence E. Cameron, daughter of Alexander and Maria (Donaldson) Cameron.[2] She was born 3 Apr 1874, Marlborough, NH, and died 9 Oct 1894, Boston, MA, aged 20 years, of gastric ulcer, perforation, and septic peritonitis.[3]
He married thirdly, before 1900, his first cousin Georgia8 Whitney, daughter of Ebenezer Augustus7 and Ellen J. (Woodcock) Whitney. She was born 21 June 1868, Solon, ME, and died 1928 or 1929.
He was a pharmacist; resided Boston, MA, 9 Eaton St.
Children of Josiah F.8 and Susie E. (Bray) Whitney:
i. Charles B.9 Whitney, b. 2 Jul 1888, Lowell, MA;[4] d. 25 Jan 1889, Lowell, MA, aged 6 months 22 days, of heart failure.[5]
Children of Josiah F.8 and Florence E. (Cameron) Whitney, if any, are unknown.
Children of Josiah F.8 and Georgia8 (Whitney) Whitney:
ii. Warren Harding9 Whitney, b. 19 Aug 1900, Somerville, MA ("Warren Howard" in vital records); d. 1956 or 1957. iii. Clarence Augustus Whitney, b. 6 Aug 1905, Somerville, MA; d. 13 Nov 1999; m. Hazel Lee.
