Levi Sumner8 Whitney (Harvey7, David6, Roswell5, David4, David3, Joshua2, John1), son of Harvey7 and Eliza (Jump) Whitney,[1] was born 29 Mar 1860, Bremer Co, IA, and died 27 Dec 1928, Kaneville, Kane, IL.[2]

He married 4 Apr 1880, Keokuk, IA,[3] Laura A. Dunn, daughter of J. A. and Jane Dunn. She was born in 1859, Keokuk, IA, and died in 1922.[4]

They lived in Prairie (1880) and Warren (1890), Keokuk, IA, Lafayette, Boulder, CO (1910), and Ninevah, Adair, MO (1920).

Levi was a farmer, railroad contractor, coal miner, and shopkeeper.
