James Emmet9 Whitney, (Alanson8, [prob.] Jared7, [prob.] John6, Joshua5, Nathaniel4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of Alanson8 and Almira (Cool) Whitney, was born 22 May 1847, IN, and died 2 Feb 1908, Monroeville, IN, aged 60 years. He was buried in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven, IN.[1]

He married, 3 Aug 1871, Allen Co., IN, Mary C. Wilson. She was born about 1850, NY, and died 29 May 1912, Monroeville, IN, aged 61 years. She was buried in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven, IN.[2]
