Family:Whitney, Martin (1810-1887)

Martin⁸ Whitney (Simei⁷, Samuel⁶, Samuel⁵, Nathaniel⁴, Nathaniel³, John², John¹), son of Simei⁷ and Silence (Tucker) Whitney, was born 16 Aug 1810,^[1] and died 20 Jan 1887, Cambridge, MA, aged 76 years 5 months 4 days, of an accidental fall, baker.^[2]

He married, 3 Apr 1833, Electa Buell, daughter of Daniel and Electa (Ransom) Buell, of Wilmington. She was born 31 Jan 1813, Wilmington, VT,^[3] and died 19 Jul 1887, Cambridge, MA, aged 74 years 5 months 19 days, of apoplexy.^[4]

He resided Cambridgeport, MA.

ii.	Sarah Maria Whitney, b. 17 Jan 1842, Marlboro, VT;[7] m.(1) 26 Oct 1863, Cambridge, MA, Thomas B. Wentworth;[8] m.(2) 1 May 1872, Watertown, MA, Joseph L. Wilson, b. ca. 1842, Damariscotta, ME, son of Joseph and Elmira (-----) Wilson.[9]

Sarah's second marriage calls her parents James and Sarah, not Martin and Electa, and her birthplace as Newton, MA, not Marlboro, VT.
