Fred Milton8 Whitney (Joel7, Asa6, Levi5, Daniel4, Jonathan3, Jonathan2, John1), son of Joel7 and Esther Maria (Treadwell) Whitney, was born 27 Oct 1856, and died 7 Aug 1890, Winchester, MA, aged 33 years 10 months, of inflammation of the brain.[1]

He married, 15 Apr 1888, Almira T. (Nickson) White, daughter of John and Flora R. (Baker) Nickson. She was born about 1848, Providence, RI, and died 27 Jun 1901, Boston, MA, aged 53 years, of septicemia.[2]

He was educated in Winchester public schools, and was engaged in the wholesale millinery and dry goods business when he died. He was quiet and retiring in his manner of living, and had no taste for public life. He died s.p.; resided Winchester, MA.
