Mellen Goram8 Whitney (Joel7, Amos6, Jonathan5, Samuel4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Joel7 and Parthena (Smith) Whitney, was born 14 Oct 1857, Moscow, ME, and died 27 Apr 1942, prob. Bingham, ME.
He married firstly, before 1891, Carrie A. Stewart. She was born 24 Nov 1864, Almira, ME, and died 16 Mar 1899, prob. Bingham, ME.
He married secondly, 3 Nov 1902, Waterville, ME, Clara A. Emerton, daughter of Jacob and Susan (Graves) Emerton. She was born 20 Mar 1854, and died 21 Nov 1936.
Mellen resided in Moscow and Bingham, ME. Mellen and both of his wives are buried in the Bingham Village Cemetery in Bingham, ME.
