Amos Whitney, parentage unknown, was born about 1841, CT, and died after 1880.
He married, Feb 1862, Goshen, CT, Harriet Wheeler,[1] daughter of Samuel and Thirza (Howe) Wheeler. She was born about 1843, probably Cornwall, CT, and died between 1870 and 1880.
Children of Amos and Harriet (Wheeler) Whitney:
i. George Whitney, b. ca. 1864, CT. He may be identical to George H. Whitney of Hartford, CT. ii. Edwin Whitney, b. ca. 1866, CT. iii. Samuel Whitney, b. ca. 1868, CT.
