Abner Whitney died 27 Dec 1866, Orange, MA.

19 Jan 1867, Harrison H. Whitney petitioned for the probate of his will. He left no widow. His heirs were daughter Mary A. Thayer, Salem; daughter Arethusa W. Adams, Salem; daughter Sarah W. Adams, Montague; daughter Emily A. Tenney, Orange; son Alexander S. Whitney, Orange; and son Harrison H. Whitney, Orange.

Will: Abner Whitney of Orange. To four daughters Mary A. Thayer, Arethusa W. Adams, Sarah W. Adams, and Emily A. Tenney, $600 each. Remainder to two sons Alexander S. Whitney and Harrison H. Whitney, to be divided equally. Son Harrison H. Whitney sole executor. Dated 1 Jan 1861. Witnessed by Hiram Woodward, W. S. Ballou, and John W. Wheeler. Proved 5 Feb 1867. Recorded Book 50, page 8.

5 Feb 1867, executor's bond for $3000 posted by Harrison H. Whitney, of Orange, with Amos W. Adams of Montague and Henry W. Haskins, sureties.

5 Feb 1867, Davis Goddard, Rodney Hunt, and W. S. Ballou were appointed appraisers. Real estate valued at $108.00 and personal estate at $2360.10.

Adaline T. Whitney of Deerfield died 2 Aug 1868.

On 4 May 1869, Isaac Smead of Deerfield, father of the deceased, petitioned for administration of her estate. He stated that Adaline T. Whitney of Deerfield had died 2 Aug 1868, and that her heir was husband Lyman H. Whitney. He asked that Olive E. Smead be appointed administratrix.

On 12 May 1869, Olive E. Smead, sister of the deceased, was appointed administratrix. She, of Colerain, posted bond of $1200, with Isaac Smead and Hugh B. Miller as sureties. Isaac Smead stated that the estate was valued at no more than $1000.

28 Jan 1909, Minnie M. Wells petitioned for administration. Heirs were husband Elliot Whitney, Cummington, and daughter Minnie W. wells, Conway. Husband Elliot Whitney assented.

2 Feb 1909, administration granted to Minnie M. Wells of Conway. No real estate, personal estate under $200.

2 Feb 1909, Minnie M. Wells posted administration bond for $300 with Harris T. Pease and Luella J. Pease, both of Conway, as sureties.

Inventory as of 13 Dec 1908: $180.48.

By 14 Feb 1911, husband had died, and administrators account was filed.
