Delbert F.9 Whitney (John Reed8, John7, Phinehas6 Whitney, Samuel5, William4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of John Reed8 and Lucinda Maltby (Heiner) Whitney, was born 1857, Boone Co., IL, and died after 1920.

He married firstly, 25 Dec 1878, Tecumseh, NE, Lucy O. Wolfe. She was born 1860, IN, and died before 1904.

He married secondly, 15 May 1904, Council Bluffs, IA, Dottie E. (Elliott) Burrows.
