Alonzo Howe8 Whitney (Jonas B.7, Jonas6, Samuel5, Nathaniel4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of Jonas B.7 and Lovicey (Houghton) Whitney, was born 16 Apr 1816, Brattleboro, VT, and died 9 Oct 1871, Menard Co., IL. He was buried in Indian Point Cemetery, Athens, IL.[1]

He married, 1 Dec 1836, Springfield, IL, Mary Ann Kincaid,[2] daughter of Andrew and Ann Patterson (Caldwell) Kincaid. She was born 26 Jan 1818, Montgomery, KY, and died 14 Nov 1900. She was buried in Indian Point Cemetery, Athens, IL.[3]
