Joseph8 Whitney (William7, William6, William5, William4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of William7 and Anna (Heywood) Whitney, was born 28 Feb 1794, and died 12 May 1876.

He married, 6 May 1818, Nancy Putnam. She was born 3 Jun 1798, and died 29 Mar 1880.
