Bobbie Frances Whitney (Hull)(Van Meter) born 2/1/1944 in Waco, Texas to Frances Kathryn (Coyel) Whitney and Vernon Delbert Whitney of MA.  My parents met shortly before WWII in the Chicago area and were divorced shortly after my birth when my mother moved back to Texas and refused to return to MA.  My dad was in the navy and was due to ship out and my mother did not want to remain in the Whitney home so she returned to her family home in Texas.  I had a family genealogy that my grandfather, Delbert Edward Whitney, had compiled, but over the years I lost it.  Now that I am interested in genealogy, I would give anything to have it.  I do not remember how many generations it went back but the Whitney family was supposed to have been on the Mayflower.  My grandmother was Marie Whitney (maiden name unknown).  She was of French descent.  When I saw your site, I thought it might give me some information.  Thanks
