Ephraim6 Whitney (David5, Nathaniel4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of David5 and Mehitable (Parker) Whitney, was baptized 29 May 1747, Natick, MA, and died 26 Jun 1832, Natick, MA.

He married, 11 Jun 1771, Sarah Wood.

He was in the Revolutionary war; was a minute-man in Mann's company, of Colonel Ballard regiment at the Bunker Hill "alarm." Later he was in Capt. Morse's company, and still later in Capt. Gardner's company, of Colonel Brook's regiment at White Plains, and the campaign in New York. He resided Natick, MA.

i. George7 Whitney, b. 22 Feb 1772; m. Miriam Hunt.
ii. Mehitable Whitney, b. 22 Aug 1773; m. John Hunting; resided Haverstraw, NY.
