Joshua Whitney, parentage unknown, was born say 1758, and died after 1790.

He married, 14 Jan 1781, Belchertown, MA, Dorothy Knowlton.[1] Dorothy, the daughter of Roswell (Rosel) and Anne (Dutton) Knowlton, was born 18 Mar 1765 in East Haddam, Middlesex Co. CT [2].
