Family:Whitney, Joshua (1757-1797)

Joshua Whitney, parentage unknown, was born say 1758, and died after 1790.

He married, 14 Jan 1781, Belchertown, MA, Dorothy Knowlton.^[1] Dorothy, the daughter of Roswell (Rosel) and Anne (Dutton) Knowlton, was born 18 Mar 1765 in East Haddam, Middlesex Co. CT ^[2].

Children of Joshua and Dorothy (Knowlton) Whitney, if any, unknown. From the census, he may have had two sons and two daughters born before 1790. She married secondly, 12 Aug 1802, Belchertown, MA, Ezekiel Hartshorn.

Could one of the daughters have been Family:Whitney, Lydia (c1783-a1850)?

Could one of the daughters have been Lucinda Whitney who m. 31 Dec 1807, Belchertown, MA, Sylvester Wilson "both of Belchertown"?

Could one of the sons have been Family:Whitney, Daniel (s1782-a1810)?

Could one of the sons have been Joel Whitney, who m. 19 Oct 1820, Belchertown, MA, [?Beatrice?] Phelps?
