Seiva7 Whitney (Ezra6, Ezra5, John4, Isaiah3, Thomas2, John1, ThomasA), son of Ezra6 and Sally (Hooker) Whitney, was born 18 Mar 1799 in Rockingham Township, Windham Co, Vermont. He moved with his parents and siblings from the family home in Vermont to Allegany County, New York in 1817.

In 1820, he was listed as being engaged in agriculture.

Seiva Whitney was not located on the 1830 census in Burns, Allegany Co, New York with the other members of his family. He may have been the 30-40 year old male living with Lucy Whitney.

He married Hannah (-----) sometime before 1831. She was born about 6 Jan 1807 and died 28 Aug 1831, age 24y 7m 22d, probably in Burns, Allegany Co., New York.
