Russell Velasco9 Whitney (Torrey8, Moses7, Samuel6, Samuel5, Nathaniel4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of Torrey8 and Betsey (Lamb) Whitney, was born 29 Jan 1832, Gibson, PA.
He married, 24 Dec 1852, Melissa C. Wheaton. She was born 15 Jun 1830.
Russell Velasco Whitney is a farmer in Thompson, PA. For some time he was in the grocery business with his son-in-law at Susquehanna, PA. During the war was Sergeant in the 17th Pennsylvania Cavalry; resided Thompson, PA.
