Joseph⁶ Whitney (Benjamin⁵, James⁴, John³, Jonathan², John¹), son of Benjamin⁵ and Esther (Leland) Whitney; born 15 Dec 1762, Sherborn, Massachusetts; married Sally Parks. He died in 1846; resided Gardner, Massachusetts.

i.	Henry7 Whitney, born in 1793; married Mary Ann Bassett.
ii.	Sally Whitney, born in 1795; married Luther Alden.
iii.	Esther Whitney, born in 1797; married Johas Brick, born 10 Oct 1796. Ch.: Mary Ann and Esther.
iv.	Joseph P. Whitney, born in 1798; married Roena Bickford.
v.	George Whitney, born in 1801; married Sophia Greenwood.
vi.	Charles Whitney, born in 1804; married died 1824.
vii.	Samuel Whitney, born in 1806; died in 1826.
viii.	Anna P. Whitney, born in 1809; married ----- Read.
