Joshua married, 29 Nov 1709, Medfield, MA, Hannah Rockett/Rockwood,^[4] daughter of Josiah and Marie (Twitchell) Rockett/Rockwood.^[5] She was born 24 Aug 1691, Medfield, MA,^[6] and died 8 Aug 1772, Ware, MA.^[7]

Joshua Whitney and his wife Hannah were admitted to the chunch, 1 Mar 1752, recommended by Rev. Nathan WEBB of the church in Uxbridge, Woodstock, CT.^[9] Joshua Whitney signed the new Church Covenant, 18 Mar 1756, Woodstock, CT.^[10]
