Family:Whitney, Charles Ashley (1843-1928)

Charles Ashley⁷ Whitney (Josiah S.⁶, Jacob⁵, Benjamin⁴, John³, Benjamin², John¹), son of Josiah S.⁶ and Martha (Barker) Whitney, was born 27 Dec 1843, Phillips, ME, and died 6 Apr 1928, Chetek, WI.

He married 22 Feb 1871, Chippewa Falls, WI, Christena Gilbertson. She was born 25 Aug 1852, Christiana, Norway, and died 28 Dec 1938, Raddison, WI.

Charles was a Civil War veteran, and he and his widow received pensions for his service and disability. He is buried in the Lakeview Cemetery in Chetek, WI.
