Alvah W.⁷ Whitney (Isaac W.⁶, Joseph⁵, Joseph⁴, Joseph³, Jonathan², John¹), son of Isaac W.⁶ and Polly (Blood) Whitney, was born 16 Dec 1832, Chelsea, VT.

He married firstly, 13 Jan 1854, Mahala M. Jones. She was born 18 Apr 1833, and died 30 Sep 1883.

He married secondly, 2 Apr 1884, Maria E. Lewis. She was born 26 Sep 1854.

He is a farmer; resided Chelsea, VT.

i.	Frank T.8 Whitney, b. 26 Aug 1856; m. Adah M. Blakely.
