George D. Whitney (Isaac), son of Isaac and Lucy F. (Clark)(Bennett) Whitney, was born about 5 Jun 1818, Fairhaven or Rochester or New Bedford, MA, and died 22 Mar 1900, Acushnet, MA, aged 81 years 9 months 17 days, of apoplexy.[1]

Marriage intentions were published 23 May 1844, New Bedford, MA, for him "of New Bedford" and Sarah W. Jenney "of Fairhaven".[2] He married, 4 Jun 1844, Fairhaven, MA, Sarah W. Jenney, daughter of William and Clarissa (Jenney) Jenney.[3] She was born about 20 Aug 1816, Fairhaven, MA, and died 20 Apr 1887, Acushnet, MA, aged 71 years 8 months 0 days, of general paresis.[4]

a. Blanche Clara Whitney, b. 24 Aug 1888, MA; d. 21 Dec 1983, Vernon, CT; m. William Stuart Congdon.
b. Raymond Eben Whitney, b. 24 Dec 1891, Acushnet, MA;[8] d. 23 Oct 1933, North Windham, CT; m. Dorothy "Dollie" Cayouette.
