Charles Carroll⁸ Whitney (J. Wesley⁷, Sewell Pitt⁶, Barnabas⁵, Isaac⁴, Nathaniel³, Benjamin², John¹), son of J. Wesley⁷ and Ann Augusta (Furbish) Whitney, was born 9 Mar 1873, Freeman, ME, and died 22 Feb 1936, Farmington, ME.

He married 4 Aug 1907, Temple, ME, Justina Ripley, daughter of Ossian and Nellie J. (Grover) Ripley. She was born 3 Nov 1888, Jay, ME, and died 4 Dec 1973, prob. Framington, ME. Both are buried in the Riverside Cemetery in Farmington, ME.
