John Henry Burgerson alias Whitney, son of John and Mary E. (McElroy) Burgeson, was born Oct 1873, Sidney, ME, and died after 1900.

He was apparently adopted by his mother's second husband, Eugene Whitney (1852-1886).

He married, 24 Nov 1897, Oakland, ME, Laura Belle Abbott. She was born May 1866, ME, and died after 1900.
