Aaron6 Whitney (Levi5, Daniel4, Jonathan3, Jonathan2, John1), son of Levi5 and Rebecca (Clark) Whitney;[1] born 13 Sep 1772, Townsend, Massachusetts, 1772;[2] married 16 Mar 1797, Phebe Dunklee, born 20 Dec 1778; died 31 Jan 1800; married 2d Olive Lund, born Aug. 1779; died Jan., 1867.

He was a blacksmith by trade, and in 1812 was the postmaster at Amherst. His shop was burned in 1815, and in 1819 he moved to Calias. He was a prominent citizen in Amherst for some time. He died 16 Feb 1845; resided Nashua, New Hampshire, and Amherst, Massachusetts, and Calais, Maine.

Children of Aaron6 and Phebe (Dunklee) Whitney:

i. Levi7 Whitney, born 7 Jul 1798; married Jane Whitney.
ii. Luke Whitney, born 2 Jan 1800; married Cynthia Smith King and Mary Thankful Smith.
iii. Mark Whitney, born Jan 2, 1800; died 22 Feb 1807, in Amherst, New Hampshire.

Children of Aaron6 and Olive (Lund) Whitney:

iv. Aaron7 Whitney, born 15 Dec 1801; married Rebecca Perkins.
v. James Whitney, born 8 Jul 1808; married Julia A. Dorr.
vi. Olive Whitney, born 15 May 1805; resided Westbrook, Maine.
