Capt. Jonas6 Whitney (Jonathan5, Zaccheus4, Jonathan3, Jonathan2, John1), son of Jonathan5 and Mary (Wyman) Whitney, was born 27 Aug 1772, Lancaster, MA,[1] was baptized 30 Aug 1772, Lancaster, MA,[2] and died 14 Jan 1846, Lancaster, MA.[3]
Marriage intentions were published 8 Apr 1803, Lancaster, MA, for him and Mary Hawkes "both of Lancaster".[4] He married, 2 Jun 1803, Lancaster, MA, Mary Hawkes, daughter of John and Hannah (James) Hawks. She was born 13 Nov 1776, Bolton, MA, and died 22 May 1865, Lancaster, MA, aged 88 years 6 months, of old age.[5]
He resided Lancaster, MA.
On 5 Aug 1810, both he and his wife were admitted to the church,[6][7] and wife Mary was baptized.[8] His daughter was baptized at the same time.
