Elijah⁵ Whitney (John⁴, William³, Joshua², John¹), son of John⁴ and Elizabeth (Adams) Whitney, was born 10 Sep 1750, Lebanon, CT,^[1] and died 26 May 1821, Canaan, CT, aged 70 years^[2]; buried, Canaan, CT.^[3]

He married, 24 Sep 1772, Canaan, CT, Chloe Beckley^[4], daughter of Joseph and Pedey (Hancox) Beckley. She was born 25 Mar 1755, Canaan, CT, and died 22 Jan 1827, Canaan, CT, aged 72 years^[5].

• 1810, Canaan, Litchfield Co., CT: Elijah Whitney, 1 male over 45, 1 female over 45, and 1 female 10-15.
