Peter Freer7 Whitney (James6, Ezekiel5, James4, Henry3, John2, Henry1), son of James6 and Sarah (Trumpbour) Whitney, was born 13 Feb 1817, Catskill, NY, and died after Nov 1873.

He married, Margaret Freer, daughter of Peter and Catharine (Trumpbour) Freer.

Phoenix says the following:

". . . an ice-dealer . . . . They lived in Catskill in Nov. 1873."

Children of Peter Freer7 and Margaret (Freer) Whitney:

i. James8 Whitney, died at West Camp, NY.
ii. Ferdinand Whitney, was a soldier in the war of 1861, and died soon after his return.
iii. Sarah Whitney, m. John Gould; and was living at Hoboken, NJ, in Nov 1873.
iv. William Whitney, d. Glasco, in Saugerties, NY, unmarried.
v. Catharine Whitney, m. Philip Emerick, of Catskill, NY.
vi. Russell Whitney, lived with his father in Nov 1873.
vii. Gertrude Whitney, lived with her father in Nov 1873.
viii. John Whitney, died young.
ix. Frank Whitney, died young.
x. (daughter) Whitney, died young.
xi. (daughter) Whitney, died aged 3 months.
