Raymond7 Whitney (Aaron Wilkes6, Ebenezer5, David4, Joseph3, John2, Henry1), son of Aaron Wilkes6 and Sarah (Bennett) Whitney, was born 16 May 1805, Norwalk, CT, and died after 1880.
He married, 4 Jan 1835, Easton, CT, Marinda Silliman, daughter of Deacon Justus Silliman. She was born 21 Mar 1806, Easton, CT, and died after 1868, and probably before 1870.
Phoenix says the following:
- "... a machinist and, since 1852, a farmer .... He was engaged with his brothers in carrying on a furnace, manufacturing plows, etc., in Bridgeport, Conn.; and afterward removed to North Fairfield, Ohio, where he was living in 1868."
