p. 90, #1111: Irene6 WHITNEY was born on 13 (not 26) June 17[  ] (after 1766), Montague, MA, according to Montague vital records. 13 Jun 1768 would be a reasonable guess at the correct date for this event.

p. 90, #404: There was a Joseph WHITNEY who married, 15 Jun 1780, Pomfret, CT, Mary LYON, according to Pomfret vital records, but I have no proof that it was this Joseph5 WHITNEY. In fact, this fellow would have been 36 years old at the time of that marriage, which makes me a bit skeptical about this identification. It would seem that Joseph5 WHITNEY, son of Joseph4 and Rebecca (BEAL) WHITNEY [Josiah3, (prob.)Benjamin2, John1], born 8 Oct 1754, Willington, CT, would be better suited in age (25) for Mary LYON's husband, and Joseph and Mary (LYON) WHITNEY named a daughter Rebecca, putatively after Joseph's mother. If that is accepted, then this Joseph5 WHITNEY has not been further traced, but he may possibly be the Joseph WHITNEY who lived in Keene, Surry, and Westmoreland, NH.

p. 90, #1116: Arminda6 WHITNEY was born 29 Jan (not Jun) 1783, Pomfret, CT, according to Pomfret vital records.

p. 90, #1124: Jemima5 WHITNEY is a conflation of two children, Jemima5, born 10 Dec 1742, Stow, MA, and Samuel5, born 10 Sep 1745, Stow, MA, according to Stow vital records.

p. 90, #1110: Olive SAWYER was baptized 29 May 1726, Lancaster, MA, daughter of Jonathan and Elizabeth (WHEELOCK) SAWYER, according to Lancaster vital records. She died 19 Aug 1750, Harvard, MA, aged about 24 years, according to Harvard vital records.

p. 90, #417: Sarah (WILDER) RUGG could not have married Enoch HILL in 1752, since her husband Daniel RUGG did not die until 1792, and they were having children into the 1760s. Instead, it was her sister-in-law Sarah RUGG who married firstly, 24 Oct 1752, Lancaster, MA, Enoch HILL, and secondly, 25 Nov 1755, Lancaster, MA, David5 WHITNEY, according to Lancaster vital records.

p. 90, #417: David5 WHITNEY died 13 Feb 1802 (not 1790), Harvard, MA, aged 75 years [sic--should be 79], according to Harvard vital records.

p. 90, #1125: Enoch6 WHITNEY married, 2 Sep 1780, Ashburnham, MA, Hannah DAVIS, according to Ashburnham vital records.

p. 90, #418: Joseph5 WHITNEY married Hannah CHANDLER, daughter of Moses and Anna (SANBORN) CHANDLER, not Hannah (SANBORN) CHANDLER. This is proven by her death record in Shelburne vital records. She was born 9 Nov 1721, Stratham, NH.
