David⁸ Whitney (George⁷, Ephraim⁶, David⁵, Nathaniel⁴, Nathaniel³, John², John¹), son of George⁷ and Miriam (Hunt) Whitney, was born Ellington, CT, 18 Feb 1799.

He married 15 Feb 1824, Farmington, NY, Eliza Edgeworth. She apparently died between 1840 and 1850.

He resided Rochester, NY, and Mazomanie, WI.
