Family:Whitney, Joshua (1714-1744)

Joshua⁴ Whitney (William³, Joshua², John¹), son of William³ and Lydia (Perham) Whitney,^[1] was born 1 Nov 1714. Groton, MA,^[2] and died between mid-April and 7 Oct 1744, Preston, CT.^[3]

He married, before 1737, Anna (?Blodgett?).^[4] If her name was Blodgett, it seems likely that she was the same as Anna Blodgett, daughter of Thomas and Mary (Druse) Blodgett,^[5] born 9 May 1714, Chelmsford, MA.^[6] Her date of death is unknown.^[7] It seems probable that she remarried.

ii.	Lucy Whitney, b. 28 Apr 1739, Preston, CT;[9] m. Jonathan Darte.
iii.	Timothy Whitney, b. 8 May 1741, Tolland, CT;[10] no futher record.
iv.	Asa Whitney, b. 26 Feb 1742/3, Preston, CT;[11] m.(2) Sarah Barnes; m.(2) Hepsabeth WATROUS.
v.	Joshua Whitney, b. 16 Jan 1744/5, Preston, CT;[12] m. Anna Ashley.
